Only works on Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Help/Explain Text :
Determines
whether System Restore is turned on or off. System Restore enables users, in
the event of a problem, to restore their computers to a previous state without
losing personal data files. By default, System Restore is on. If you enable
this setting, System Restore is turned off, and the System Restore Wizard and
Configuration Interface cannot be accessed. If you disable this setting, System
Restore is turned on and enforced. It cannot be turned off in the Configuration
Interface, but, depending on the Turn off Configuration settings, it may still
be configured. The feature is nonfunctional until the system is rebooted. To turn
off the Configuration Interface, see the Turn off Configuration setting. If you
do not configure it, the system reverts to the default local setting.
Important: This setting only refreshes at boot time. Note: This setting is only
available in Windows XP Professional. Also, see the Turn off Configuration
setting. If the Turn off System Restore setting is disabled or not configured,
the Turn off Configuration setting is used to determine whether the
Configuration Interface appears.
